Calvin Coolidge

Cool Cal as he became know actually gave many speeches as he rose through the ranks of public office. His no-nonsense steady leadership and firm positions won him the Republican Nomination for Vice President. After the death of Warren Harding on August 2nd, 1923, Calvin Coolidge was President.

He was a hard worker and believed American business was the heart of the economy and nation. He defended American workers with strong import tariffs.
